Following the Advanced Tax exam yesterday, I will be sharing some useful feedback from actual students who sat the exam.
It is important to understand that this is a technical time pressured exam and unlike some other ACCA papers where you have more time, in Advanced Tax you never feel like you had enough time to deal with everything and write down all you know.
You just have to persevere, keep calm and move on after spending 1.8 minutes per mark.
Sammy used my Advanced Tax Condensed Notes and listened to Neil Da Costa Tax Exam Podcast. She also benefited from the articles I wrote and my LinkedIn Posts.
She is a hardworking young lady and did Advanced Tax in the morning and SBL in the afternoon. She is not afraid of a challenge and still found time between the exams to tell me what came up and how she found the exam.
The best way to prepare for the exam is to learn my Condensed Notes and then practice exam questions. (by the way I do explain everything including fringe areas like the split year treatment using cutting-edge accelerated learning techniques which make it easy to understand and memorise).
If you are planning on doing Taxation or Advanced Tax in September 2022, I recommend you purchase Tax Condensed or Advanced Tax Condensed which will allow you to learn the technical rules If you then practice the key questions I recommend, you too will be ready for anything the examiner throws at you.
